"That I should love a bright particular star,
And think to wed it, he is so above me"

- Downing College Gardens

All’s Well That Ends Well

The intimate courtyard garden of Downing College is the perfect setting for Shakespeare’s courtly drama of love, disguise and intrigue. Bertram, the ward of the French King is betrothed to Helena, a doctor’s daughter. Bertram, however, has other plans and runs away to the Italian wars, thinking he can escape his responsibilities. But Helena is determined to get her man – one way or another! Don’t miss this superb production!
